About this deal

This book came out a while ago but is still available, because it is simply fabulous, especially if you're a dino lover. Cosmic is a kooky mad-scientistteacher to an unusual group of students: werewolf, bug-girl, vampire, robot, and others. Five large pop-up scenes showcase children's favourite fearsome beasts and the accompanying spotters' guides reveal the dinosaurs in even more detail. Aptly oversized to reflect many of the gigantic creatures within, these poems and gorgeous illustrations celebrate prehistoric creatures.

He takes his students through aninteractive exhibit on dinosaurs, but can the students can stay safe? Today we are celebrating the launch of a new and gorgeous picture book series: Dinosaur Juniors by Rob Biddulph! Here’s what’s great about these books…Even kids with only a passing interest can learn to appreciate the wonder of these creatures of prehistoric times. It is careful to focus on many types of dinosaurs, not just the famous ones, providing an all-encompassing introduction to readers. This is a charming introduction to the world of dinosaurs in gentle rhymes and colorful watercolor illustrations. If necessary, give your little one some guidance and show how to move the shapes to make the dinosaurs pop up. This is followed by the Shield Bearers or Stegosaurs, small-headed herbivores whose armored bodies were covered with vertical plates or spikes; the Frill-Heads or Triceratops, hoofed herbivores with large heads with horns on their head and snout, and a bony frill around their neck; then the Long-Necked Giants or Sauropods, recognizable by their long necks, large bodies and even larger appetite; next are the Meat Eaters or Theropods, gigantic bipedal carnivores (perhaps you've heard of the newly discovered Giganotosaurus from Argentina); and finally the Raptors or Dromeosaurs, feathered, flying carnivores in the theropod family, known for their retractable claws.

Even a child who may not be as interested in science or dinosaurs may develop an interest because of all the pop-ups. The book is short - only 6 pages BUT with a ton of compressed information and well placed details on those six page. It’s a silly, very silly look at what good behaviors and not so good behaviors look like using your favorite dinosaurs.Get your toddler to turn into an excavator by engaging him in this fun playdough dinosaur digging activity! Angela has also taught cooking skills and loves to share both family recipes and easy crafts here on The Inspiration Edit. As you read the song lyrics, follow along with Dax as he and his friends go exploring, marching, picnicking, napping, and roaring. There is a wonderful Teacher's Guide that can be downloaded for this book as well as an activity sheet for making a simple pop-up T-Rex. Introduce children to great artists like Grandma Moses, Mary Cassat, DaVinci, Qi Baishi, Alma Thomas, and so many more!
